كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا دخل العشر شدَّ مئزره وأحيا ليله، وأيقظ أهله
With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet used to tighten his waist belt and used to pray all the night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers
Lorsque rentraient les dix jours, le Prophète serrait son izar, il veillait la nuit et réveillait sa famille
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
الصيام جُنة فلا يرفث ولا يجهل، وإن امرؤ قاتله أو شاتمه فليقل إني صائم مرتين
Fasting is a shield; when one of you is fasting, he should neither behave in an obscene manner nor foolishly. If a man fights or abuses him, he should say: I am fasting, I am fasting
Le jeûne est une protection, ainsi quand l'un d'entre vous jeûne qu'il parle de manière convenable et n'agisse pas comme un ignorant et si quelqu'un le combat ou l'insulte qu'il dise: Je jeûne, je jeûne
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
فَآتاهُمُ اللَّهُ ثَوابَ الدُّنيا وَحُسنَ ثَوابِ الآخِرَةِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ المُحسِنينَ
So Allāh gave them the reward of this world and the good reward of the Hereafter. And Allāh loves the doers of good
Allah, donc, leur donna la récompense d'ici-bas, ainsi que la belle récompense de l'au-delà. Et Allah aime les gens bienfaisants
God gaf hun dan de beloning van het tegenwoordige leven en de goede beloning van het hiernamaals. God bemint hen die goed doen
Al-Imran, 148
هَل جَزاءُ الإِحسانِ إِلَّا الإِحسانُ
Is the reward for good [anything] but good?
Y a-t-il d'autre récompense pour le bien, que le bien?
Is de beloning voor goed doen iets anders dan goed doen?
Ar-Rahman, 60
إذا جاء رمضان فتحت أبواب الجنة وغلقت أبواب النار وصفدت الشياطين
When Ramadan begins, the gates of Jannah are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained
Lorsque vient le mois de Ramadan, les portes du Paradis s’ouvrent, celles de l’Enfer se ferment et les diables sont enchaînés
Sahih Muslim
لا تصوموا حتى تروا الهلال ولا تفطروا حتى تروه فإن أغمي عليكم فاقدروا له
Do not fast till you see the new moon, and do not break fast till you see it; but if the weather is cloudy calculate about it
Ne jeûnez-pas jusqu'à ce que vous voyiez le croissant de lune et ne rompez pas jusqu'à ce que vous le voyiez
Sahih Muslim
من صام يوما في سبيل الله عز وجل باعد الله وجهه من جهنم سبعين عاما
Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, Allah will separate his face from the fire by seventy years
Celui qui jeûne un jour dans le sentier d'Allah, Allah éloigne son visage de l'enfer d'une distance de 70 ans
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
وَاستَغفِرِ اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ غَفورًا رَحيمًا
And seek forgiveness of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is ever Forgiving and Merciful
Et implore d'Allah le pardon car Allah est certes Pardonneur et Miséricordieux
En vraag God om vergeving. God is vergevend en barmhartig
An-Nisa', 106
لا يتقدمن أحدكم رمضان بصوم يوم أو يومين، إلا أن يكون رجل كان يصوم صومه، فليصم ذلك اليوم
None of you should fast a day or two before the month of Ramadan unless he has the habit of fasting then he can fast that day
Que personne d'entre vous ne commence à jeûner un jour ou deux avant Ramadan, à l'exception de l'homme qui faisait déjà un jeûne particulier, celui-là peut jeûner ce jour-là
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
فرض رسول الله زكاة الفطر صاعًا من تمر أو صاعًا من شعير على العبد والحر والذكر والأنثى والصغير والكبير من المسلمين وأمر بها أن تُؤدّى قبل خروج الناس إلى الصلاة
The Messenger of Allah enjoined Zakatul-Fitr, a Sa' of dates or a Sa of barley, upon the free person and the slave, male and female, young and old, among the Muslims. He commanded that it be given before the people went out to the prayer
Le Prophète a imposé l'aumône de la rupture du jeûne un Sa' de dattes, ou un sa' d'orge pour le serviteur et l'homme libre, pour les hommes et les femmes, pour les vieux et les jeunes parmi les musulmans. Et il a ordonné qu'elle soit donnée avant la sortie des gens pour la prière
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
من مات وعليه صيام صام عنه وليه
Whoever dies while he still has some fasts to make up, then his heir should fast on his behalf
Celui qui meurt en étant redevable de jours de jeûne, son proche peut les jeûner pour lui

كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يعتكف في العشر الأواخر من رمضان
The Messenger of Allah used to observe I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan
Le Prophète faisait le I'tikaf durant les dix derniers jours de Ramadan
Sahih al-Bukhari
فصلُ ما بين صيامنا وصيام أهل الكتاب أكلةُ السَّحَر
The difference between our fasting and that of the people of the Book is eating shortly before dawn
La différence entre notre jeûne et le jeûne des Gens du Livre est le repas du sahour
Sahih Muslim
إِنَّ المُصَّدِّقينَ وَالمُصَّدِّقاتِ وَأَقرَضُوا اللَّهَ قَرضًا حَسَنًا يُضاعَفُ لَهُم وَلَهُم أَجرٌ كَريمٌ
Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allāh a goodly loan – it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward
Ceux et celles qui font la charité et qui ont fait à Allah un prêt sincère, cela leur sera multiplié et ils auront une généreuse récompense
De mannen en vrouwen die aalmoezen geven en die aan God een goede lening geven; Hij zal het voor hen verdubbelen en zij krijgen een voortreffelijk loon
Al-Hadid, 18
ادعوا رَبَّكُم تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفيَةً ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ المُعتَدينَ
Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors
Invoquez votre Seigneur en toute humilité et recueillement et avec discrétion. Certes, Il n'aime pas les transgresseurs
Bidt in deemoed en in het verborgene tot jullie Heer; Hij bemint de overtreders niet
Al-Araf, 55
من نسي وهو صائم فأكل أو شرب فليتمَّ صومه؛ فإنما أطعمه الله وسقاه
Whoever forgets that he is fasting, and eats or drinks is to complete his fast, as it was Allah who fed him and gave him something to drink
Si quelqu’un a oublié en faisant le jeûne et a mangé ou bu, qu’il continue son jeûne, c’est Allah Qui l’a nourri et Qui l’a abreuvé
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
عمرة في رمضان تعدل حجة
Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj
Une 'omra durant le ramadan équivaut à un Hajj
Sahih al-Bukhari
كُلوا وَاشرَبوا هَنيئًا بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ إِنّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجزِي المُحسِنينَ
Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do. Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good
Mangez et buvez agréablement, pour ce que vous faisiez. C'est ainsi que Nous récompensons les bienfaisants
Eet en drinkt met genoegen [als beloning] voor wat jullie gedaan hebben. Zo belonen Wij hen die goed doen
Surah Al-Mursalat, 43 - 44
إِنّا أَنزَلناهُ في لَيلَةِ القَدرِ وَما أَدراكَ ما لَيلَةُ القَدرِ لَيلَةُ القَدرِ خَيرٌ مِن أَلفِ شَهرٍ
Indeed, We sent it [the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months
Nous l'avons certes, fait descendre (le Coran) pendant la nuit d'Al-Qadr. Et qui te dira ce qu'est la nuit d'Al-Qadr? La nuit d'Al-Qadr est meilleure que mille mois.
Wij hebben hem neergezonden in de nacht van de beslissing. En hoe kom jij te weten wat de nacht van de beslissing is? De nacht van de beslissing is beter dan duizend maanden.
Al-Qadr, 1 - 3
الَّذينَ يُقيمونَ الصَّلاةَ وَمِمّا رَزَقناهُم يُنفِقونَ أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُؤمِنونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَهُم دَرَجاتٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِم وَمَغفِرَةٌ وَرِزقٌ كَريمٌ
The ones who establish prayer, and from what We have provided them, they spend. Those are the believers, truly. For them are degrees [of high position] with their Lord and forgiveness and noble provision.
Ceux qui accomplissent la Salât et qui dépensent [dans le sentier d'Allah] de ce que Nous leur avons attribué. Ceux-là sont, en toute vérité les croyants: à eux des degrés (élevés) auprès de leur Seigneur, ainsi qu'un pardon et une dotation généreuse.
die de salaat verrichten en van wat Wij hun voor hun levensonderhoud gegeven hebben ook bijdragen geven. Zij zijn het die echt geloven; voor hen zijn er verschillende rangen bij God en vergeving en een voortreffelijke voorziening.
Al-Anfal, 3 - 4
إن في الجنة بابًا يقال له الريان، يدخل منه الصائمون يوم القيامة، لا يدخل معهم أحد غيرهم
In Paradise there is a gate which is called Rayyan through which only the people who fast would enter on the Day on Resurrection. None else would enter along with them
Il y a certes dans le paradis une porte que l'on appelle Ar Rayan. C'est par elle que les jeûneurs vont entrer dans le paradis et personne d'autre qu'eux n'y rentrera par elle
Sahih Muslim
فَأَمَّا الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ فَهُم في رَوضَةٍ يُحبَرونَ
And as for those who had believed and done righteous deeds, they will be in a garden [of Paradise], delighted
Ceux qui auront cru et accompli de bonnes œuvres se réjouiront dans un jardin
Maar wat hen betreft die geloven en de deugdelijke daden doen, zij zullen in een hof verblijd worden
Ar-Rum, 15
شهر الصبر وثلاثة ايام من كل شهر صوم الدهر
The month of patience (Ramadan) and three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime
Le mois de la patience (Ramadan) et 3 jours de chaque mois sont l'équivalent du jeûne continue
Sunan an-Nasa'i
بني الإسلام على خمس: شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدًا رسول الله، وإقام الصلاة، وإيتاء الزكاة، وحج البيت، وصوم رمضان
Islam is based on five: To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Messenger, to offer the prayers dutifully and perfectly, to pay Zakat, to perform Hajj, to observe fast during the month of Ramadan
L'Islam est bâtie sur cinq choses: l'attestation qu'il n'y a pas d'autre divinité qui mérite d'être adorée si ce n'est Allah et que Muhammad est le Messager d'Allah, l'accomplissement de la prière, le fait de s'acquitter de la zakat, le fait de jeûner le Ramadan et le Hajj
Sahih al-Bukhari
قَولٌ مَعروفٌ وَمَغفِرَةٌ خَيرٌ مِن صَدَقَةٍ يَتبَعُها أَذًى ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَليمٌ
Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. And Allāh is Free of need and Forbearing
Une parole agréable et un pardon valent mieux qu'une aumône suivie d'un tort. Allah n'a besoin de rien, et Il est Indulgent
Vriendelijke woorden en vergeving zijn beter dan een aalmoes gevolgd door ergernis. God is behoefteloos en zachtmoedig
Al-Baqara 263
لا يزال الناس بخير ما عجَّلوا الفطر
People will remain in good as long as they are quick to break the fast
Les gens iront bien tant qu’ils s’empresseront de rompre le jeûne
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
وَما يَفعَلوا مِن خَيرٍ فَلَن يُكفَروهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَليمٌ بِالمُتَّقينَ
And whatever good they do – never will it be removed from them. And Allāh is Knowing of the righteous
Et quelque bien qu'ils fassent, il ne leur sera pas dénié. Car Allah connaît bien les pieux
Het goede dat zij doen, daarvoor zal hun geen ondankbaarheid betoond worden. God kent de godvrezenden
Al-Imran, 115
وَأَنفِقوا مِن ما رَزَقناكُم مِن قَبلِ أَن يَأتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ المَوتُ فَيَقولَ رَبِّ لَولا أَخَّرتَني إِلىٰ أَجَلٍ قَريبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِنَ الصّالِحينَ
And spend [in the way of Allāh] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous
Et dépensez de ce que Nous vous avons octroyé avant que la mort ne vienne à l'un de vous et qu'il dise alors: Seigneur! si seulement Tu m'accordais un court délai: je ferais l'aumône et serais parmi les gens de bien
En geeft bijdragen van wat Wij jullie voor jullie levensonderhoud gegeven hebben, voordat de dood tot een van jullie komt en hij dan moet zeggen: Mijn Heer, had U mij niet nog een kort uitstel kunnen verlenen, dan zou ik nog aalmoezen kunnen geven en bij de rechtschapenen behoren.
Al-Munafiqun, 10
الصلوات الخمس والجمعة إلى الجمعة ورمضان إلى رمضان مكفرات ما بينهن إذا اجتنبت الكبائر
The five daily Salat, and Friday to the next Friday, and the fasting of Ramadan to the next Ramadan, is expiation of the sins committed in between them, so long as major sins are avoided
Les cinq prières, le vendredi au vendredi, le ramadan au ramadan sont des expiations pour ce qu'il y a entre elles si on s'est écarté des grands péchés
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
لَو أَنزَلنا هٰذَا القُرآنَ عَلىٰ جَبَلٍ لَرَأَيتَهُ خاشِعًا مُتَصَدِّعًا مِن خَشيَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلكَ الأَمثالُ نَضرِبُها لِلنّاسِ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَفَكَّرونَ
If We had sent down this Qur’ān upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and splitting from fear of Allāh. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought
Si Nous avions fait descendre ce Coran sur une montagne, tu l'aurais vu s'humilier et se fendre par crainte d'Allah. Et ces paraboles Nous les citons aux gens afin qu'ils réfléchissent
Als Wij deze Koran tot een berg hadden neergezonden, dan had jij hem zich zien verootmoedigen en uit vrees voor God zien barsten. Dit zijn de vergelijkingen die Wij voor de mensen maken; misschien zullen zij nadenken
Al-Hashr, 21
تسحَّروا فإن في السحور بركة
Take Sahur, for in Sahur there is blessing
Faites le Sahour, certes, il y a dans le sahour une bénédiction
Sahih Muslim
يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا كُتِبَ عَلَيكُمُ الصِّيامُ كَما كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِكُم لَعَلَّكُم تَتَّقونَ
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous
O les croyants! On vous a prescrit aS-Siyâm comme on l'a prescrit à ceux d'avant vous, ainsi atteindrez-vous la piété
Jullie die geloven! Aan jullie is voorgeschreven te vasten, zoals het was voorgeschreven aan hen die er voor jullie waren -- misschien zullen jullie godvrezend zijn --
Al-Baqara 183
ما أَنزَلنا عَلَيكَ القُرآنَ لِتَشقىٰ إِلّا تَذكِرَةً لِمَن يَخشىٰ
We have not sent down to you the Qur’ān that you be distressed, But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allāh]
Nous n'avons point fait descendre sur toi le Coran pour que tu sois malheureux, si ce n'est qu'un Rappel pour celui qui redoute (Allah)
Wij hebben de Koran niet tot jou neergezonden opdat jij ongelukkig zou zijn, maar slechts als een vermaning voor wie [God] vreest
Surah Ta Ha, 2 - 3
إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الَّذينَ اتَّقَوا وَالَّذينَ هُم مُحسِنونَ
Indeed, Allāh is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good
Certes, Allah est avec ceux qui [L'] ont craint avec piété et ceux qui sont bienfaisants
God is met hen die godvrezend zijn en hen die goed doen
An-Nahl 128
إِنَّ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ وَأَقامُوا الصَّلاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكاةَ لَهُم أَجرُهُم عِندَ رَبِّهِم وَلا خَوفٌ عَلَيهِم وَلا هُم يَحزَنونَ
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish prayer and give zakāh will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve
Ceux qui ont la foi, ont fait de bonnes œuvres, accompli la Salât et acquitté la Zakât auront certes leur récompense auprès de leur Seigneur. Pas de crainte pour eux, et ils ne seront point affligés
Zij die geloven en de deugdelijke daden doen, de salaat verrichten en de zakaat geven, zij hebben hun loon bij hun Heer en zij hebben niets te vrezen noch zullen zij bedroefd zijn
Al-Baqara, 277
إذا أقبل الليل من ها هنا، وأدبر النهار من ها هنا، وغربت الشمس، فقد أفطر الصائم
When night falls from this side and the day vanishes from this side and the sun sets, then the fasting person should break his fast
Lorsque la nuit arrive par ici, que le jour part par là et que le soleil est couché, le jeûneur a certes rompu son jeûne
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
التمسوها في العشر الأواخر من رمضان
Seek it in the last ten days of Ramadan
Recherchez-la dans les dix derniers jours de Ramadan
Sahih al-Bukhari
إِذا جاءَ نَصرُ اللَّهِ وَالفَتحُ وَرَأَيتَ النّاسَ يَدخُلونَ في دينِ اللَّهِ أَفواجًا فَسَبِّح بِحَمدِ رَبِّكَ وَاستَغفِرهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ كانَ تَوّابًا
When the victory of Allāh has come and the conquest, And you see the people entering into the religion of Allāh in multitudes, Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.
Lorsque vient le secours d'Allah ainsi que la victoire, et que tu vois les gens entrer en foule dans la religion d'Allah, alors, par la louange, célèbre la gloire de ton Seigneur et implore Son pardon. Car c'est Lui le grand Accueillant au repentir.
Wanneer Gods hulp komt en het succes en jij de mensen in drommen in Gods godsdienst ziet binnengaan, prijs dan de lof van jouw Heer en vraag Hem om vergeving; Hij is een genadegever
An-Nasr
من صام رمضان إيمانًا واحتسابًا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه، ومن قام ليلة القدر إيمانًا واحتسابًا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
He who observes fasting during the month of Ramadan with Faith while seeking its reward from Allah, will have his past sins forgiven
Celui qui prie la nuit du destin avec foi et en espérant la récompense, ses péchés précédents sont pardonnés et celui qui jeûne le ramadan avec foi et en espérant la récompense, ses péchés précédents sont pardonnés
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
الَّذينَ يُنفِقونَ أَموالَهُم بِاللَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ سِرًّا وَعَلانِيَةً فَلَهُم أَجرُهُم عِندَ رَبِّهِم وَلا خَوفٌ عَلَيهِم وَلا هُم يَحزَنونَ
Those who spend their wealth [in Allāh's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly – they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve
Ceux qui, de nuit et de jour, en secret et ouvertement, dépensent leurs biens (dans les bonnes œuvres), ont leur salaire auprès de leur Seigneur. Ils n'ont rien à craindre et ils ne seront point affligés
Zij die hun bezittingen weggeven, 's nachts en overdag, in het geheim en in het openbaar, zij hebben hun loon bij hun Heer en zij hebben niets te vrezen noch zullen zij bedroefd zijn
Al-Baqara, 274
قَد أَفلَحَ المُؤمِنونَ الَّذينَ هُم في صَلاتِهِم خاشِعونَ
Certainly will the believers have succeeded, They who are during their prayer humbly submissive
Bienheureux sont certes les croyants, ceux qui sont humbles dans leur Salât
Het zal de gelovigen welgaan, die in hun salaat deemoedig zijn
Al-Muminun, 1 - 2
وَجَزاهُم بِما صَبَروا جَنَّةً وَحَريرًا
And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]
et les rétribuera pour ce qu'ils auront enduré, en leur donnant le Paradis et des [vêtements] de soie
En Hij beloont hen, omdat zij geduldig hebben volhard, met een tuin en met zijde
Al-Insan, 12
من صام رمضان ثم أتبعه ستا من شوال كان كصيام الدهر
Whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal will be rewarded as if he had fasted the entire year
Celui qui jeûne le Ramadan et six jours de Chawal a certes jeûné toute l'année
Sahih Muslim
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ ۙ لَهُم مَغفِرَةٌ وَأَجرٌ عَظيمٌ
Allāh has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds [that] for them there is forgiveness and great reward
Allah a promis à ceux qui croient et font de bonnes œuvres qu'il y aura pour eux un pardon et une énorme récompense
God heeft hun die geloven en de deugdelijke daden doen toegezegd dat er voor hen vergeving is en een geweldig loon
Al-Ma’ida, 9
